I started beading about ten years ago when a Japanese friend asked me to go with her to a three-hour workshop at a local bead store. She practically begged me to go with her because she knew that she wouldn't go alone. Being a knitter and a weaver, I said yes, thinking that working with colors in another way would be fun.
I proceeded to hit local thrift shops the very next day in search of interesting and inexpensive necklaces to cut apart and rework. Once my favorite local craft store started carrying Swarovski crystals, I was completely hooked.
I realized that starting a small business was my next step since I couldn't possibly wear or give as gifts all the jewelry that I was making. Plus, I was intrigued by the process of growing with my newly-found love. So, I brought some samples to local gift shops, where I received mixed reactions. "Your work is lovely. Do you have anything chunkier?"
"Oh, no!", I thought. I did not have, make or wear chunky jewelry, and I knew that I couldn't design chunky styles since I had no gut instinct about what was pretty and what was not.
I was discouraged, but I did not give up, and when I got brave enough to do my first mall craft show, I learned that there are quite a few women who prefer more petite styles. Yea!
The rest, as they say, is history.
[I have included in my work larger beads than I used back then, and some of my styles may be inching towards 'chunkier' as I evolve.]

I am, by profession, a teacher of English as a Second Language, and my students are adults from all over the world, who have come to the United States to learn English. Some of them go on to get graduate degrees here while others return to their countries with their newly-improved language skills.
I do not take for granted my good fortune of being able to express myself intellectually as well as creatively in the world of work. Not many people have the opportunity to exercise both sides of their brain on a daily basis.
I am also honored to present my jewelry to you on this website. I am committed to providing jewelry that is made with quality materials and workmanship and that is backed up with reliable customer service and personalized attention. As an outlet for you to express
